How to Bluff
Although it may take a bit of practice to catch on to, bluffing is a worthwhile trick to learn when gambling on-line.

When you are playing poker and don't have a good hand, bluffing means that you raise the pot to hopefully make everyone else think you have a really good hand and fold. So, if you were dealt a low pair and nobody else raised, you would raise the highest amount.

Body language also plays a factor in this if you are playing in person. Be sure to hide your disappointment when dealt a bad hand, otherwise you will be caught in your bluff. Pretend that you are happy with what you were dealt, in addition to raising, and you will pull off a successful bluff.

While trying to bluff on-line is a bit more challenging, it is still possible. One thing you can do is mix up your playing style so that you don't become predictable to others at the table.

Also, you shouldn't save raising the pot strictly for when you are bluffing. If you always raise when you have a good hand, this will help you when you are bluffing because everyone will automatically think you have a great hand if you are raising, even if you don't.

If you are playing at a table that has many players, it's not the best time to bluff. It's hard to get more than a few players to fold, so bluff according to how many people you are playing against.

Sometimes if you have a bad hand, the best plan is to fold. You can't bluff on every bad hand and get away with it. And, even if you do bluff, it doesn't always mean everyone else is going to fold. If someone else raises your bluff, you shouldn't always fold then either because then people will know when you're bluffing. Just play according to what you can afford to do and how many chips you have left.
